Chad M. Ellington

Chad Ellington is the owner and principal of Peak Development Group. He received his undergraduate degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University and his MBA in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.

Chad worked for a Coloradobased commercial general contractor following his undergraduate studies and was the lead on several highprofile projects around the state. He was then Vice President of Oakwood Homes from 20042014 and headed up their land acquisition and development group and focused on several of Colorados largest highprofile residential and mixeduse master plan developments.

Peak Development Group was formed in 2015 for Chad to continue to chase his entrepreneurial spirit. Since its formation, Peak has partnered with several likeminded developers to deliver bestinclass developments ranging from large masterplanned communities to multi-family developments and even a boutique hotel.

Throughout his career, Chad has been the lead on more than 20 residential master plans totaling over 50,000 homes in communities across the Front Range. This experience includes growing communities like Bennett and Johnstown to larger and more complex entitlement processes in cities like Westminster and Denver.

Over the past several years, Chad and Peak have been laser-focused on our collective passion for developing masterplanned communities to address the significant housing shortage and challenges with housing attainability. LinkedIn
